Guinevere & Lancelot

For one so beautiful was loved so pure
Yet wed another and made to endure
All the temptation that lust could procure
Still of her loyalty the kingdom could ensure

Off rode her love, a chivalrous knight
The King alone unaware of his plight
Loyal to king and country he rode with all his might
To escape the love that clouded his sight

Yet one day in his passion he took her
Though he had unknowingly bed another
Magic used to suit his admirer
Yet of Camelot he remained a noble defender

At last when his lust could be satisfied no more
He tried only honor to restore
Though things could never be as before
Their love no one could abhor
